Investment candidates must feel a burning passion and a relentless drive to grow their small business into a leading player in their chosen market. When evaluating investment opportunities, 2IP looks at the following criteria:
Growth opportunity:
Candidates should have the ambition to grow rapidly into a leading position in their field. The addressable market size should be at least $20 million.
Product and Revenues:
Candidates should have current or expected customers and revenues.
Competitive Differentiation:
Candidates should have a platform for building sustainable competitive differentiation, e.g. through intellectual property, technology, unique skill sets, strong relationships with key distribution channels, established brands; etc.
Multiple Exit Opportunities:
Candidates should have plausible exit strategies.
